Airport Transportation:
Public Transit: Chicago trains are very easy to use, and stops are conveniently located near the hotel. O'Hare and Midway both have entrances to the trains: from baggage claim, simploy follow the signs for "trains to city" or "CTA". Fare is $2.50 (at time of printing). Purchase a fare card at the kiosks located near the entrance to the trains.

  • From O'Hare, take the Blue Line train to the Monroe stop. Walk east on Monroe to the hotel (1.5 blocks).
  • From Midway, take the Orange Line to downtown. Get off at the Adams stop. The Palmer House is located near the train exit, on the west corner of Wabash.

Shuttles: shuttle service is offered from both airports. Fare is $27 one-way / $49 round-trip from O'Hare, and $22 one-way / $39 round-trip from Midway. Reservations are not required for transport to downtown locations. Ticket counters and loading zones are located near baggage claim in both airports. Shuttles depart every 10-15 minutes.

Taxis: Approximate cost for taxi from O'Hare to downtown is $40; from Midway to downtown is $30. Chicago taxis are metered, so expect to pay more if traveling during rush hour or in case of inclement weather.

Parking: With the easy access to public transportation and the hotel's proximity to many local attractions and restaurants, there is little need for a car in Chicago. However, should you choose to rent a car, the following parking rates will apply:

Internet Access:
The ballroom will NOT have internet access due to the steep costs assessed by the hotel for this service. Laptop battery charging stations will be available on the back tables only.

Tax Deductibility

Miscellaneous

Breakfast: Breakfast is not included in the registration fee this year.

Weather: Chicago can be hot and humid in July, but breezes off the lake may necessitate a light jacket for evening use.
